Chapter Now started as an idea to share our life and passions with our newborn daughter.

We (John and Katie) came together with a appetite for adventure. In the early days, that looked like traveling the world, chasing new places, new foods, and new adventures. At one point, it even meant squeezing into a 300 square foot travel trailer with our dog, calling it home, and traveling the United States. 

Then came Willow.

When our daughter arrived, we realized how important it would be to share our stories with her — so that she grows up knowing that the world is big, beautiful, and full of surprises. Chapter Now is our way of doing that.

Katie illustrates and designs. John writes. And a little character named Willow — inspired by our daughter — travels the world one story at a time.

Each monthly sketchbooklet is part travelogue, part keepsake, part kitchen adventure. The places Willow visits are drawn from countries we've explored together, and the ones we still dream about. The recipes tucked inside each envelope come from those same tables and those same kitchens.

We hope you and yours can enjoy these stories as much as we enjoy making them.
